Statement from Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford on the nomination of Sandie Bellows

Published on April 11, 2018

“I congratulate Sandie on her nomination as the Ontario PC candidate for St. Catharines.

“Sandie is a City Councillor, and was first elected in 2014. Since being elected to council, she has fought hard for her community.

“Sandie’s story is one of incredible bravery. Following an act of violence in 1990, she became an outspoken victims rights advocate in Niagara and across the nation. Sandie has devoted her energy towards fighting for victims and safer communities.

“Sandie makes an excellent addition to our strong Ontario PC team.

“It’s time for a change in Ontario. For 15 years, the Wynne Liberals have made life harder for families. They have put their insider friends and political self-interests ahead of the hard-working people of Ontario. The Ontario PCs will respect the taxpayer, end the culture of waste at Queen’s Queen’s Park, and stand up for the little guy.

“I look forward to working with Sandie as we share our message of change with the people of St. Catharines.”
