Gillian Smith is the Ontario PC candidate for University-Rosedale.
She is a leader in the private and not-for-profit sectors with more than twenty years of experience in senior management, communications and marketing.
Gillian is currently the Chief Marketing Officer at the Toronto Region Board of Trade and previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, a national charity that promotes inclusion and active citizenship.
A dedicated community volunteer, Gillian sits on the board of Business for the Arts and Culture Days, serves on committees with the Art Gallery of Ontario, and participates in an advisory capacity with the G(irls)20, CivicAction and Lifeline Syria.
She has also previously served as Chair of the Toronto Public Library Foundation, and Vice Chair of Community Food Centres Canada.
Gillian is married and the proud mm of twins, Aurélie and Clémentine, and stepmm to Arnaud. She knows more can be done to help hardworking Toronto families pay less and get ahead and will be a strong and experienced voice for change at Queen’s Park.
