Statement by PC Leader Patrick Brown Celebrating Holi

“Canadians of Hindu ancestry gather to celebrate Holi—the “festival of colours” and the “festival of love.”

“This holiday dates back millennia and is a celebration of the coming of spring and the triumph of good over evil. One of the most enjoyable features of the festivities include spraying family and friends with brightly coloured water and powders. Holi celebrations bring people of all backgrounds together and in many ways resembles the unity we experience as citizens of Ontario.

“I encourage all to learn more about Holi.”
