Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on Islamic History Month

The following is a statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on Islamic History Month:

“In 2007, the Parliament of Canada passed a motion recognizing October as Canadian Islamic History Month.

“Across our province, Ontarians acknowledge the diversity in the Canadian Muslim community.

“I continue to learn about the Muslim faith and the cultures that make up the faith, having visited dozens of Mosques and community centres across Ontario.

“Earlier this year, our party was pleased to host an Iftar in Mississauga, where we had over 600 people in attendance.  It was a wonderful community celebration.

“On behalf of the Ontario PC Party, thank you to the many members of the Muslim community who are making positive contributions to our country.”
