Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on Rosh Hashanah

The following is a statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on Rosh Hashanah:

“The sound of the shofar will be heard in synagogues across Ontario as Canadians of Jewish faith mark Rosh Hashanah, one of the most significant days for Jewish people around the world.  As the Jewish new year, Rosh Hashanah provides Ontarians an opportunity to reflect on their faith.  It is also a time when many will dip apples in honey for a sweet new year!

“Through teshuva, we can take time to apologize to those we have wronged and to seek ways to better ourselves.  It is an occasion when all can make resolutions for the year ahead.

“I want to thank Ontarians of Jewish heritage who have made many contributions to our communities.  We are blessed to live in a diverse province with such a rich heritage.

“May you be inscribed in the Book of Life for a prosperous new year!

“Shana Tova!”
