Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the Nomination of Monte McNaughton

The following is a statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the nomination of Monte McNaughton as the Ontario PC candidate for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex:

“I congratulate Monte McNaughton on his nomination as the Ontario PC candidate for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

“Monte McNaughton has been an integral member of our Ontario PC team since his election in 2011. He is an incredible constituency MPP who serves the members of his community tirelessly and with passion.

“As our Economic Development, Employment, and Growth critic, Monte has been leading the charge at Queen’s Park against corporate welfare, continuing to relentlessly pressure the government until they have revealed a complete list of corporate welfare recipients. He has also been a committed fighter for the taxpayer, introducing a number of Private Member’s Bills to protect their interests, including bills that would have capped Ontario’s death tax and the debt.

“After 13 years in power, life is harder under the Liberal Government. Electricity prices are skyrocketing. Health care is being slashed. Billions of tax dollars are being wasted on scandal after scandal. It’s time for a change in Ontario.

“I look forward to working closely with Monte in the coming months as we continue to spread the Ontario PC Party’s message of change in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex and across the province.”
