Statement from PC Leader Patrick Brown on the nomination of Sam Oosterhoff

The following is a statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown on the nomination of Sam Oosterhoff as the Ontario PC candidate for Niagara West:

“I congratulate Sam on his nomination as the Ontario PC candidate for Niagara West.

“Since his by-election victory in November,Sam Oosterhoff has been strong voice for this community at Queen’s Park. He has been a tireless advocate for the redevelopment of the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, and has stood up against the arbitrary closure of three West Niagara high schools and the wind turbine projects being forced on his community.  Tonight, his hard work on behalf of his constituents paid off.

“In the Legislature, Sam serves as our Caucus Critic for Digital Government as well as the Associate Critic for Research, Innovation and Science, where he continues to hold the government to account.

“Sam is also the youngest Member of Provincial Parliament in Ontario’s history, and I am glad to have his perspective on our team.

“After 13 years in power, life is harder under the Liberal government. Electricity prices are skyrocketing. Health care services are being slashed. Billions of taxpayer dollars are being wasted on scandal after scandal. It’s time for a change in Ontario.

“I look forward to continuing to work alongside Sam and having him as part of our Ontario PC team in 2018.”
