Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown Celebrating Eid Al Adha

“On behalf on the Ontario PCs, I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all those celebrating Eid al-Adha.

“Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, honours the commitment and strength of Ibrahim which was shown through his dedication to his faith. This joyous time also celebrates the end of Hajj, a pilgrimage to Mecca performed by Muslims from all around the world. Families celebrate Eid by attending congregational prayers, providing much needed help to the less fortunate, and sharing festive with their loved ones.

“Muslim-Canadians have played a vital role in building a strong, prosperous and diverse province. This celebration inspires unity and gives us an opportunity to reflect on our shared values such as compassion, integrity, and respect.

“As Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, I wish all those celebrating a joyous Eid.

“Eid Mubarak!”
