Statement from Ontario PC Leader Patrick Brown Celebrating Navratri

“Today, our Hindu friends and neighbours across Ontario and throughout the world celebrate Navratri—the nine-day festival commemorating the victory of good over evil.

“This celebration is marked by family and friends joining together to share in festive meals, and enjoy customs and traditions that have been proudly celebrated for thousands of years.

“Ontario’s Hindu community continues to be an invaluable part of our province’s social and multicultural fabric, and reflects the values that make our province such a special place to live. Navratri provides us all with an excellent opportunity to learn more about this community’s history, customs, and valued contributions to Ontario’s growth and development.

“To all those celebrating, Happy Navratri!”
