Job Description

  • Key point of contact for technology evaluation project
  • Setting and communicating IT policies
  • Ensuring the integrity and security of the network
  • Setting standards and directions on technology for the Party
  • Providing support for business-related needs for Party and Fund to ensure there is no interruption to operations
  • Attending daily meetings to provide status reports to ED
  • Liaising with DBA to ensure database is functional
  • Communicating database updates to database users
  • Architecting IT environments at special events (e.g., Convention)
  • Proposing hardware/server/network recommendations as needed
  • Assembling IT budget
  • Liaising with managed services provider
  • Assisting IT Support Specialist as required
  • Working with vendors who access database to ensure functional processes
  • Leading and assisting support specialist during peak-demand times of service

Skills/Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in IT
  • Fundamental understanding of networks & infrastructure, phone systems, security, databases
  • Attention to detail, project planning & management skills
  • Proficiency in Windows, Office365, SQL or equivalent
  • Experience in conservative politics is an asset
